Queen barbie

Peanut was playing with her barbies and mommy overheard the following discussion between barbie a and barbie b...

Peanut:
Barbie a: "No, you're fired, I fired you, but I can unfire you"
Barbie b: "Can you do that? Is that allowed?"
Barbie a: "I can do anything, I'm the queen of England"

potty time

So we're trying to convince Bbears to use the potty, he's almost 3 and has NO interest in it at all. Mommy knows he has a huge sweettooth for marshmallows, so the attempted bribery is on...

Bbears: "I want a marshmallow"

Mommy: "Well, if you use the potty like a big boy, you can have a marshmallow"

Bbears: "I don't want the potty, I want to use the toilet"

Mommy: "But you said the big toilet hurts you cause it's too big so that's why you need the smaller potty"

Bbears: "Well, I want to use the medium one"

hunger wants

Bbears was hungry, as usual, and was looking in the pantry cupboard when mommy walked into the kitchen...


Mommy: "What are you looking for?"

Bbears: "I want, I want...I want.... I want something to want"

overheard

Peanut and Bbears were going to start playing when mommy overheard....


Peanut: "Ok, do you want to be Peach or Todd?"

Mommy: "Who's Peach and who's Todd?"

Peanut: "We're playing Mario (Nintendo) and I'm going to be Princess Peach and Bbears can be Todd"

Mommy: "Who's Todd?"

Peanut: "The little mushroom guy, you know, Todd!"

(his name is really Toad)

We were playing out in the yard when...


Bbears: "Mommy, mommy! There's a bee!"

Mommy: "It's ok bud, just don't bug it and it'll go away."

Bbears: "It's goinna swipe my hat!"

B - for baseball - bears

Peanut started T-ball, so much fun! Bbears was playing catch with his glove and ball while we watched his big sis play her first game. He would throw the ball up and close his eyes in fear of it hittin him as it came back down, which of course meant that he couldn't see it to catch it. Very cute.

Bbears: (after missing his first catch) "Not quite, try again"

not cool mom

Mommy was dancing to some tunes for Peanut and Bbears. Peanut didn't look too impressed.

Mommy: "You don't like my dance moves?"

Peanut: "Well, it's not that I don't like them, it's just that they're really not that cool"

southern charm

Mommy and Peanut were playing games at lunch time, trying to get Bbears to eat his food, and despite the don't play with your food rule of thumb, we were, well, playing with our food. Mommy was putting the food on the fork and then pretending the fork was an airplane, train, car, boat, shopping cart, old man, jogger, etc. Peanut decided she wanted to be an old lady, mommy was helping her to try to sound like a really old lady...

Peanut: "Oh, I'm an old lady walking"

Mommy: "You have to make your voice sound higher and more shakey, and say things like 'you whippersnapper kids these days with your TVs and your video games. When I was a kid we only had a piece of string and a rock to play with'".

Peanut: "ok, 'you kids these days, with your TVs, when I was a kid I only had a piece of string and an ice cube to play with'" (at this point she had taken on a southern accent)

Mommy: "Oh so you're from the deep south are y'all?"

Peanut: (still in southern character) "well, it's just that I don't really know how to talk"

boy o boy, he's a boy

Daddy was on the computer checking out some sports sites to get the scores and updates. Bbears was hanging out looking at the computer screen. At the bottom of the screen there was an add for something featuring some scantily clad ladies (not that kind of website - don't worry)...

Bbears: (pointing to ladies with a huge smile on his face) "I want this one daddy, this one, oh yea, this one!"

when I grow up

Daddy: "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Peanut: "A rock star! But then when I'm a parent I'll be a doctor, or a vet because they help doggies and I love doggies!"

Bbears: "Mommy, I hungry"

Mommy: "Me too"

Bbears: "Me three!"

Great big gate

Bbears has a gate up at his door at night so that he doesn't escape his room and tumble down the stairs while we're all asleep. So when he wakes up in the morning, he usually calls for mommy or daddy to come take the gate down to set him free. But one morning he coined a new title for the gate...

Bbears: "Mommy, I want to get out from the big wall of China"

Egos

We were having Ego waffles for breakfast that mommy bought, Bbears had never tried them before and is sometimes finicky about his pancakes, so mommy wasn't sure if he'd like them or not...

Bbears: "I love this cupcake!"

Mommy: "Goodnight my sweet prince"

Bbears: "Goodnight mommy true princess"

Peanut: "Mommy, can we go to Disney World Vacations for 5 days and 4 nights?"
