Peanut has been a little naughty these days when it comes to listening to her mommy and daddy. So, mommy was telling her that Santa won't come if she doesn't behave (mean I know but something's gotta work!)....
Mommy: "Peanut, I know you can be a good girl, you were before and I know you can be again. I don't know what happened but you lost your good behaviour and we need to get it back"
Peanut: "Well, it's because I lost my good brain, it went away, and now I have a bad brain and it makes me not listen. But oh! I think I see it mommy! There it is, my good brain, it's flying around me, look, I think I can catch it"
Mommy: "Well, how did your good brain get away? If it's a real 'good' brain, it would listen and stay if you told it to."
Peanut: "Well, it likes to run away, and then the bad brain comes in. But look, I caught my good brain"
(she pretends to put the good brain down for a second so that she can take out the bad brain and puts the good brain in after telling the bad brain to go away, she doesn't want it back and then tells the good brain to please stay because she wants Santa to come still)

you better not pout
Peanut was on a big whiney kick where she was whining about everything for a few days straight...
Mommy: "Peanut if you keep up the whining, Santa won't bring you any presents because he only brings presents to the kids who behave"
Peanut: "But mommy, he will bring me presents"
Mommy: "Well, not if you keep up the whining because that's not being a good girl"
Peanut: "But mommy, we already told him in my letter that I was being a good girl and we already sent him the letter, so I will get presents"

frosty bitten
Peanut was playing in the snow while mommy was loading her brother up in the van. Peanut got upset because her hands were cold, when mommy realized that she wasn't wearing her mitts...
Mommy: "Peanut, you have to wear mitts, your hands will get too cold"
Peanut: "And what will happen?"
Mommy: "Well, you could get frostbite"
Peanut: quietly thinks about this for a minute...... "But mommy, how can the snow bite me?"
Mommy: "Peanut, you have to wear mitts, your hands will get too cold"
