Peanut was playing mommy with her dolls...

Peanut: "Daddy, I just have to give my babies breakfast. First they're gonna pee, then have a poop, then I'm gonna polish their bums, then I'll give them breakfast"

sweet

Peanut was writing on her chalk board in her room...

Peanut: "Mommy how do you write mommy?"

Mommy: "M. O. M. M. Y"

Peanut: (runs into her room, comes back a few seconds later)..."Daddy how do you write daddy?"

Daddy: "D. A. D. D. Y"

Peanut: (runs bak to her room, comes back a few seconds later)..."How do I write my baby brother's name?"

Mommy: (spells it out for her)

Peanut: "I'm writing I love mommy daddy and brother"

Mommy: "Awww, you're sweet Peanut"

Peanut: "You don't have to tell me"

Mommy: "Huh?"

Peanut: "Cause I'm just nice to everyone, so you don't have to tell me"

missed ya

Peanut came back from her fun week camping with her grandparents and cousins...

Mommy: "We missed you tons! It's not the same around here without you, I didn't like it"

Peanut: "I missed you too! It wasn't the same without you."

Mommy: Awww, thanks Peanut"

Peanut: "It was difficult without you."

Mommy: "What was difficult? Going to sleep?"

Peanut: "Nope. Reading my books, grandma read them but she has a different voice than you."

sneaky treatster

Peanut's day care often takes the kids to Giant Tiger to pick out a special little toy on their way back from the park. One Saturday afternoon at home...

Peanut: "Mommy, do you need to go to the store to get somethings?"

Mommy: "Nope, not today, I got groceries the other day so I'm good"

Peanut: "Well, maybe we can just go to look around. If you see something you maybe need then you can get it"

Mommy: "Well, I know that I don't need anything right now so it's ok"

Peanut: "Well, you can just go to look. I won't even ask for anything but if you see something that you think I might like then you can get it for me"

cat pee

Peanut had a soccer tournament to wrap up the soccer season. At one point when she was on the sidelines taking a break from playing....

Peanut: "Daddy, it smells like cat pee"

Mommy: "What?"

Peanut: "My coach said if it smells like cat pee it's ok, it's just his cat's pee"

(still not too sure what that was all about)

hanner montanner

Peanut has been learning some new songs at her day care because the day care's daughter is 8 and is into all the girl pop music. The latest has been Hanna Montana, which Peanut has not yet learnt all the words, and sings the following on repeat:

Actual lyrics: You get the best of both worlds
chillin out, take it slow
then you rock out the show

Peanut's version: "I got the best of bowwow
if you're ready to rock
if you're ready to roll
you get the best of bowwow
if you're ready to rock
if you're ready to roll...."

songstress

Peanut was singing a new song she heard on a movie she watched....

Peanut: "who says I can't wear my combun with my black dress? It's just me baby, it's just me baby"

Mommy: "What are you singing? Are you making that up?"

Peanut: "No, it's from that movie, with the girl who looks like Hanna Montana but she's not really Hanna Montana, she's like just a princess or something. ...'who says, I can't wear my combun, with my black dress'..."

Mommy: "What are you saying? What's a combun?"

Peanut: "I think it's the french word for shoe"

Mommy: "Um, no, I think that would be soulier"

Peanut: "No, I think it's combun, cause listen, it's 'who says I can't wear my combun, with my black dress'. See, she's talking about her dress, so it must be the french word for shoes"

wishing well

When Peanut is at her day care and they go out for walks, they walk by a water fountain and stop to make wishes and drop coins into the water. Peanut always says her wish out loud....

Peanut: "I wish I could have a sleep over night at my day care"

Day Care Provider: "Here's another coin for your next wish. What's this one gonna be for?"

Peanut: "I can't tell you it's a secret. (then outloud says...) I wish my mommy would let me sleep over night at my day care"

the big fall

Peanut was running outside at day care and took a big tumble and got a pretty mean gash in her knee. Needless to say she was very upset about it for the rest of the day. At home at dinner that night...

Peanut: "I'm never going to run again!"

Mommy and Daddy: "Well, it's not that bad, you just have to be careful when you run, pay attention to what you're doing"

Peanut: "No, I can never run, ever again, because I know I'll do that again"

golf

Peanut was playing on the computer and asked her daddy to get her onto the "golf game"...

Daddy: "Where do you see a golf game?"

Peanut: pionts to the game icon on the desktop..."right there"

Daddy: shocked that she knows it's a golf game since the icon doesn't really look like anything to do with the sport..."How do you know it's a golf game?"

Peanut: "cause, see it says T...I...G...E...R...W...O...O...D...S, and that spells golf"
