Rotten egg

Peanut: "Come mommy, let's go downstairs, I"ll be the rotten egg!"

Mommy: "Uh...it's 'last one downstairs is a rotten egg' sweety"

Peanut: "Last one downstairs, I'm a rotten egg!"

On the stairs, mommy is first....

Peanut: "Awww, mommy, I want to go first"

Mommy stops to let Peanut go by so she can be first...

Peanut: "Yay!! I'm a rotten egg!"

I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas

Peanut was listening to the radio playing Christmas music....

Peanut: "Mommy, what does 'Police Namina' mean?"

Mommy: "It's Felice Navidad, it means Merry Christmas"

Peanut: "In french?"

Mommy: "no, it's Spanish"

Peanut: " (singing) Police Namina, police namina"

Mommy made butternut squash with dinner, something Peanut had never tried before...

Peanut: "What are we having?"

Mommy: "It's called squash, I know it looks funny but I think you'll like it"

Peanut: (takes a bite and is pleasantly surprised) "Mmmm, Daddy, try the slush, it's really good!"

Mommy and Peanut were having breakfast, we had just woken up so mommy had no makeup on yet and was having a bad skin week....

Peanut: "You have polka dots on you"

Mommy: "Where?"

Peanut: "On your face, here and here and here and here and here...."

Mommy: "Oh, yes, they're not polka dots, they're pimples"

Peanut: "Do you like them?"

Mommy: "No, they're no fun"

Peanut: "Oh, but they look fun-ny"

Peanut's been learning her letters and can now name each letter she sees. She was showing a friend this one night reading the word "Counting" off her Dora placemat at dinner...

Peanut: "C.....O.....U.....upside down U ("n")....T....."

Autumn

Peanut was on the phone with her aunt. It was a snowy day and they were discussing this...

Auntie: "It's a snowy day, did you see?"

Peanut: "Yes, it's like it's never gonna stop snowing"

Auntie: "Yes, it seems like it eh?"

Peanut: "But it will and when it stops it'll be spring"

Auntie: "Yes, and then what comes after spring?"

Peanut: "uhhhh, summer!"

Auntie: "And then what comes after summer?"

Peanut: "Uhhhh....."

(As she tried to think about the answer, daddy whispers "Fall" to her a few times)

Peanut: "Autumn! Fall is also called autumn"
